Mahasiddha Kadampa Buddhist Centre
The Centre's function is to help people solve their daily problems and find inner peace and well-being through meditation practice and Buddhist studies. Here we can listen to, contemplate, and meditate on the teachings of Buddha, showing us how to control our own mind and thus progressively transform our life for the better.
Improving the quality of life
By practising Buddha’s teachings, or Dharma, we protect ourself from suffering and problems. All the problems we experience during daily life originate in self-grasping ignorance, and the method for eliminating this ignorance is to practise Dharma.
Lasting peace and happiness
Buddha taught methods for gradually overcoming minds such as anger, jealousy and ignorance, and developing positive minds such as love, compassion and wisdom. Through practicing these instructions we will come to experience lasting peace and happiness.
These methods work for anyone, in any country, in any age. Once we have gained experience of them for ourselves we can pass them on to others so they, too, can enjoy the same benefits.
The Buddhist way of life - peace, loving kindness and wisdom - is just as relevant today as it was when Buddha appeared in ancient India.
