Buddhist Refuge Vow Ceremony
'Shelter from the Storm'
on Sat 21st March ‘09, 11am – 4pm at Mahasiddha Buddhist Centre
Gen Sangdak will explain the benefits and profound meaning of Buddhist refuge, followed by a brief Refuge Ceremony in which he will grant the blessings of going for refuge.
The mind of going for refuge characterizes the Buddhist way of life and is the foundation for all spiritual realizations.
By going for refuge to Buddha, Dharma and Sangha we make a decision to take Buddhas’ teachings to heart, rely upon them sincerely, and put the Dharma into practice in our daily life, thus firmly placing our feet on the path to the blissful inner peace of enlightenment.
You are welcome to attend only the teaching and then decide whether you wish to take the vows.
Cost: R100 for non-members incl. lunch
for members: cost is included in membership fee
for bookings please call the Centre: Tel. 031-4640984 or e-mail us
this ceremony will be followed by a 3-day Refuge Retreat which is optional (only full-day attendance)
