Chanted Meditations
Chanted group meditations, also known as pujas, help us to accumulate merit (positive inner potential), purify negativity, and receive blessings.
Chanting is very helpf
ul in enabling us to develop a happy mind of appreciation and faith. Usually when we read aloud it disturbs our concentration. During puja, the most important thing is faith, whether we understand the meaning or not. Chanting is not like ordinary song; it is very blessed.
There are many pujas that we offer - some daily, some weekly, and others monthly. Find below some a list of some of the pujas that we do:
- Tara (Prayers to the Holy Mother Tara)
- Avalokiteshvara (Prayers to the Buddha of Compassion)
- Medicine Buddha (Prayers to the Healing Buddha)
- Treasury of Wisdom (Prayers to Buddha Manjushri)
- Heart Jewel (Prayers our Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden)
- Wishfulfilling Jewel Puja (Prayers to Je Tsongkhapa and the Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden)
- Yoga of Buddha Maitreya (Prayers to the Buddha of Loving Kindness)
- Offering to the Spiritual Guide Puja (Prayers that are a special Guru yoga practice of Je Tsongkhapa's tradition)
