Medicine for the Mind – Empowerment of Medicine Buddha

Medicine for the Mind

Blessing Empowerment of Medicine Buddha

Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th December

at June’s Pre-Primary School, 21 Langford Rd, Westville

When the world is pervaded entirely by problems and dangers, due to uncontrolled minds and inappropriate actions, one of the most important practices is that of Medicine Buddha. Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche

According to Buddha all disease and suffering, mental and physical, are caused by our delusions such as anger. Normally, these delusions feel deeply ingrained.

But through connecting to Medicine Buddha we can experience the pure nature of our mind, and heal ourselves of these inner diseases.

This empowerment is a beautiful guided meditation during which we will receive the blessings of Medicine Buddha, the embodiment of all enlightened healing energy.

During the commentary Kelsang Jampel will explain the profound tantric practice, known as self-generation, through which we awaken our own potential to become an enlightened healing Buddha.

The special weekend event will begin with an introduction to the empowerment on Saturday afternoon. The empowerment will take place on Sunday morning, followed by commentary to the practice.
