Francolin Fields Midlands morning retreat
Transforming Negative Emotions
Sunday 22 April
9am to 12.30noon
Francolin Fields Retreat
Lions River – 14 District Rd 369
With Kelsang Jampel, Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Durban
All the tension, frustration, grasping and unpeacefulness in our mind come from our being under the control of negative states of mind which exaggerate and distort our reality and lead us to perform unkind, unskillful and negative actions. When our mind is free from delusions, it is like a clear, peaceful lake that reflects only beauty. When any negativity arises, it’s like a sudden storm disturbing the tranquillity of the lake so that everything we see in it is distorted.
On this morning retreat in the peaceful setting of the Midlands, learn helpful and practical meditations to identify these inner enemies of delusions, to understand their nature and function and to gradually replace these with positive, constructive states of mind.
