An event every week that begins at 9:00 am on Tuesday, repeating until March 7, 2023
From public speaking to relationship conflicts, from group gatherings to finances, from health problems to personal failures – the list of fear provoking things is endless!
Lets face it, we all have a monster or two in our mind. In certain situations they seem to attack and the fear is almost tangible and completely debilitating. Perhaps we have others lurking around in some murky depths of our mind and we live under the continual torment of these undealt with mental monsters. We sort of know they are there which is why we avoid them and distract ourselves with a million other things and probably sink into the despair of painfull procrastination.
Buddha’s teachings guide us to identify our deluded thinking, our monsters, and invite them to show their faces. When we do this with Buddha’s wisdom, we see that there is nothing to be fearful of and we can eventually laugh at our own creations and watch with amusement the different tactics they use to scare us.
Buddha attained a state of complete fearlessness and pure happiness. In this meditation class series Buddhist Monk, Gen Jampel will introduce us to the ways of achieving that state ourself in our modern challenging conditions.
Everybody’s welcome!
