If an actual bomb goes off, since its sole function is to cause harm – all that remains afterwards is destruction and immense pain for those involved. Anger is similar in having a single function, to cause harm and devastating effects.
We already know it’s destructive but how deeply do we understand this deluded reaction we have to things we don’t like?
Buddha gave very clear explanations of anger, from its most subtle form, frustration or annoyance to full blown rage. He did this with the sole compassionate wish to give us the opportunity of a life free from anger.
In this meditation class series Buddhist monk, Gen Jampel will explain the wisdom of understanding and abandoning anger and guide gentle meditations to take this on board.
