An event every week that begins at 10:30 am on Saturday, repeating until April 8, 2023
We are often very focused on making the best choices with the things that we do in our lives. However if we neglect examining what is motivating our choices we will never be able to reap better results from what we do nor make any real progress in actualizing our potential.
The quality of our actions depends upon our intentions.
Buddha explained how to cause our potential for pure compassion mixed with wisdom to arise. In this meditation class series Buddhist monk, Gen Jampel will introduce us to the kindest, most powerful motivation we can achieve. Using this inspiration we can grow our motivation ever more pure and stable until it is like a large tree unaffected by changing conditions and producing the fruit of fulfilled wishes.
A motivation like this functions like a silent generator that pushes us continually towards our own enlightenment. Then we will have fulfilled our own deepest wish to be blissfully happy all the time and become capable of helping everyone else to do the same.
Gen Jampel takes joy in helping us discover the innate potential for freedom and peace we carry in our hearts – even in difficult times. An ordained Buddhist monk, he has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism for over 15 years and elucidates the life-changing wisdom of meditation through the lens of everyday life. Loved for his uplifting example and playful humour, he is a relatable teacher and reliable friend to the community.
