An event every week that begins at 10:30 am on Saturday, repeating until December 2, 2023
In recent times we’re becoming more aware of mental health. The taboos of the past are outdated and we are recognising that we need to prioritise looking after our mind. We also know very well that modern life is an ever increasing array of different circumstances that can trigger anxiety, depression, low self esteem and many more miserable states of mind…
Probably we’ve tried desparately to control these external conditions with a really poor success rate! Maybe we are feeling a bit hopeless realising that we have no control over these things?
The good news is, the one thing we can learn to control is our mind and its our state of mind that determines our quality of life. We just need to start giving some time and energy to this.
Buddha is a master of the mind.
In these classes Buddhist monk, Gen Jampel, will introduce us to gentle meditations and ways of understanding life, that nourish mental well-being. Then, armed with some new skills, we’ll be ready to begin taking on the ever changing conditions of our life, with a smile.
Everybody’s welcome!
