Losing a loved one can be devastating. We can feel like the very fabric of our world has crumbled and the prospect of a happy life has been stolen from us. We tell ourselves we need to be strong but inside we feel like weeping or maybe we feel lost with no direction, no drive and definitely nothing resembling strength. Then as time passes we can find ourself feeling really lonely and losing hope. Sometimes even without the specific loss of a loved one we can feel totally isolated and painfully alone even if were surrounded by people.
At difficult times like this we need some special guidance to navigate these situations in a healthy and positive way. Buddha showed how loneliness is really just an illusion which we can dispel and how insight into life and death can completely transform our experience of a loved one passing away. In fact it can become a powerful opportunity to help that person as well as those who are left behind. Thus transforming it into an unforgettable and meaningful experience.
