A Special Breathing Meditation Retreat
Meditation is becoming more popular than ever. For many of us, the first practice we try is a simple breathing meditation — a way to calm the mind and find relief from distractions. Often, we’re amazed at how well it works!
But what if we could discover a special kind of breathing meditation that not only calms and focuses the mind, but also brings many other inner benefits?
On this half day retreat, Buddhist monk Gen Jampel will guide us through learning such a meditation. In this practice, we combine our breathing with the recitation of a mantra — a short, easy-to-learn mantra said to contain the essence of all other mantras. It is known as the “mantra of all Buddhas.”
This special way of meditating on the breath speaks directly to our potential — nurturing and awakening it, often leading to beautiful and even unexpected results:
-
It helps us improve our motivation
-
Develop a good heart and a peaceful, controlled mind
-
Increase our energy for spiritual (Dharma) practice
-
Promote well-being and longevity
Treat yourself to this day retreat. No prior experience needed. Everyone is welcome!
