Compassionate Living

Sounds great but what about all the inconsiderate, unpleasant, toxic people out there?

It feels easier to develop hatred than compassion. But a world full of hatred is a horrible thought. We want to be part of the solution not the problem.

Fortunately, hatred and compassion are both states of mind and the only thing we can really control, in truth, is our mind. Of course, it takes some effort and guidance otherwise our mind will default to its habitual tendencies.

Buddha taught how to take the compassion that we all already have and cause it to transform into an unbreakable, universal compassion. This is one of the most powerful states of mind in existence and it directly causes our potential to ripen.  It protects us completely from suffering and gives us a strength that enables us to really help others.

In this meditation class series Buddhist monk, Gen Jampel will introduce points of view and then guide meditations on these that cause our compassion to arise and grow until its unwavering.

Everybody Welcome.
