How to Thrive in Difficult Times
One thing our lives are not short of is an unceasing supply of problems, difficult people and difficult circumstances. If we base our quality of life on freedom from these inevitabilities we’re probably looking forward to a future of anxiety, dissatisfaction or depression. What we need is a way of relating to difficulties that protects us from unhappiness.
Maybe we’ve heard people say that problems can become exciting challenges… Great in theory! But how do we do it?
Buddha taught specific methods of engaging with difficulties, by holding special points of view. They not only protect us from negative, painful states of mind but transform adverse conditions into fuel for the development of our potential into the person we want to be.
In this meditation class series Buddhist monk, Gen Jampel will explain these methods as well as guide gentle meditations which we can use to prepare ourself confidently for whatever life serves up for us!
Everybody’s welcome!
