The Life of Buddha Movie Night

Many people know the inspiring story of the life of Prince Siddartha.  How he attained enlightenment under the bodhi tree in India.  Then as a Buddha (Awakened One), he became the Spiritual Guide of so many who are seeking solutions to their daily suffering and problems all the way to realizing their own full potential.

In our times something very special happened with respect to Buddha’s life story.

The contemporary Buddhist Master Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche wrote a play depicting this story.  It includes the common and uncommonly known aspects of Buddha’s life.  Through witnessing this play,  it dawns on us, that all of Buddha’s life was a carefully crafted and very practical teaching for us all.

It’s as relevant in our modern times as it was over 2500 years ago.  The message goes so deep into our heart we cannot leave unchanged – feeling the inspiration and thinking deeply about our lives.

At this fundraising movie night we will have an opportunity to view this very special play.  Come and enjoy a meaningful evening with delicious veggie snacks and refreshments during the interval!
