Volunteer Day
Come and help clean and keep our Meditation Centre looking beautiful for everyone.
Kadampa Meditation Centre, Durban belongs to all living beings so by cherishing it through physically cleaning, maintaining and improving it, we are cherishing (loving) all living beings. This is a skillful way of purifying a huge amount of negativity and accumulating enormous merit.
Helping prepare for an event such as the South African National Festival has many special qualities. In particular, if you’ve got the good fortune to be attending the event, it is fantastic personal preparation for the event. Also giving you opportunity to discuss and ask questions, if this is the first time you’ll be attending such an event. If you’re not able to attend, but wish to contribute, again, helping to prepare for the event is a wonderful way to do that through contributing your time.
A perfect opportunity to purifying our minds of delusions and the imprints of non-virtuous actions and in this way transforming all our tasks into spiritual practices.
Practically learn how to make cleaning have great meaning!
Everyone is welcome to be a part of the fun on this meaningful day of cleaning and other preparations for the event.
It’s always a wonderful day that is filled with laughter and a lot of positive energy while connecting with other like-minded people.
Please arrive for 9.30am. 🙂
Lunch will be a vegetarian bring and share.
To help with planning of what can be done on the day, it would be great if you could let us know in advance that you’re coming. Thank you.
